It’s January, the indulgence and over-spending of the holidays is over, and I know you’re looking for wines that won’t break the bank. I got you covered! Stop by the store this Friday to sample some wines that “punch way above their weight class.” It’s free, it’s fun, and you’re invited. Taste, learn, and save big every Friday at Table Wine. And stop back by tomorrow from 2-5pm for Round 2 of our Top Value Reds Wine Tasting!

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle! To take advantage of the savings, all sales must be tendered by the end of the tasting.

1. 2015 Stemmari Nero d’Avola (Sicily, Italy) – Nero d’Avola is a Sicilian specialty, and Stemmari’s version is a great introduction to the grape. It’s smooth and ripe, with fleshy notes of ripe cherry, plum, pomegranate, and gentle spice. Great as a cocktail wine, it also works well with comfort food staples like burgers, barbecue, and pizza.

2. 2015 Excelsior Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (Robertson, South Africa) – This crowd pleasing Cabernet – consistently named a Wine Enthusiast “Best Buy” – delivers serious bang for the buck! It displays ripe blackcurrant, cassis, tobacco, dark chocolate and dried herb characters on the nose, which are supported by spicy oak notes. The palate is smooth and soft, with appealing ripe tannins and a long finish.

3. 2013 Paris Valley Road Heritage Red Wine (Various Regions, California) – I honestly don’t know how this wine can sell for less than $12! It’s all estate fruit from vineyards just north of Paso Robles, it’s aged in real French and American oak barrels, and it’s awesome! A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Zinfandel and the balance in Syrah, Petite Sirah and Merlot, it offers up loads of ripe dark fruit along with subtle notions of fig, espresso, chocolate and spice. Trust me, you’re going to dig it!
