Thanksgiving Wines Round 2 - Saturday, November 17

Saturday, November 17th from 2-5pm – Mike Tiano of Haw River Wine Man joins us to pour an extensive lineup of Thanksgiving wines. And we’re breaking out some top-shelf stuff for this one — don’t miss it!

Asheville’s Best Thanksgiving Wine Tasting – Just stop by – we’ve got plenty of free parking.

We’ve made it a tradition to have Mike Tiano pour wines the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and we’re keeping the tradition alive. In case you’re not familiar, the Haw River Wine Man is one of our most trusted importers/distributors/partners. Their portfolio of small growers and producers is a perfect match for the store, and we’re going to pull the corks on some of their best and brightest wines. From festive bubbles and rich whites to classy reds, we’ll have all bases covered for this outstanding tasting of Thanksgiving wines.

The tasting is free to the public and all of the wines will be discounted 20% off by the bottle! Whether you need special wines for that delicious meal or simple, value priced wines to keep the family happy and peaceful, we’ve got you covered. It’s the perfect time to taste, learn and save on wines that are guaranteed to make this Thanksgiving the best ever.

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle on tasting day!

1. NV Bele Casel Prosecco Extra Dry (Veneto, Italy)
Fresh, fruity, and delicious small grower Prosecco.

2. 2016 Montenidoli Vernaccia di San Gimignano “Tradizionale” (Tuscany, Italy)
You’ve not had Vernaccia until you’ve had Vernaccia from Sergio and Elisabetta Fagiuoli. Trust me!

3. 2016 Domaine Cheveau Macon-Chaintre “Le Clos” (Burgundy, France)
Beautiful, balance, laser-focused Chardonnay from the southernmost village of the Macon. Beautiful stuff!

4. 2017 Domaine du Prieure Bourgogne Rouge (Burgundy, France)
40 year old vine Pinot Noir from the village of Savigny les Beaune. This is my pick for the top value-priced Thanksgiving red of all time.

5. 2016 Cordero di Montezemolo Barbera d’Alba (Piemonte, Italy)
From one of the oldest Barolo producers, this rich and fleshy Barbera is perfect for the holiday feast.

6. 2015 Capitain-Gagnerot Ladoix 1er Cru “Les Micaudes” (Burgundy, France)
I told you we weren’t messing around for this tasting! And this is absolutely brilliant Red Burgundy from a top site in the Cotes de Beaune.

7. 2013 Caprili Brunello di Montalcino (Tuscany, Italy)
Who says you can’t drink Brunello with Thanksgiving dinner. Not me! And this 94 pointer will have you speaking in tongues!!
