Don’t forget, all the featured tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle on tasting day.

1. 2016 Vallevo Chardonnay (Abruzzo, Italy) – We’re basically giving this delicious no-oak Chardonnay away! Not quite, but when you taste it and see the price, we think you’ll be amazed. It’s not overly complex, but it does offer up tons of pure, juicy Chardonnay goodness. Look for notes of fresh apple, pear, melon, and light floral nuances in this bargain bottle.

2. 2017 Huguet de Can Feixes Blanc Seleccio (Penedes, Spain) – Talk about an interesting and delicious white wine from Penedes, just inland from Barcelona. This region often gets noted for Cava, as it should, but the still whites produced here are some of the best kept secrets in the wine world. This one blends Parellada and Macabeo, the same grapes used to make Cava, with smaller amounts of Chardonnay and Malvasia. Fermented without bubbles, the resulting wine is dry, super fresh, mineralic, and thirst-quenching.

3. 2018 Commanderie de la Bargemone Rose (Coteaux d’Aix en Provence) – This is a new one for the store, and for those that like very pale, dry pink wines, this is gonna’ be your new jam! Bargemone is one of the foremost dry rose producers in Provence, and their traditional blend of Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cinsault, and Rolle really shines. It offers up classic aromas of wild strawberries and red currants, with a light, floral character and a crisp, bone-dry palate.

4. 2016 Pico Maccario Barbera d’Asti ‘Lavignone’ (Piemonte, Italy) – You’ll be hard pressed to find a better Barbera value than this one. Barbera specialist Pico Maccario has seriously knocked it outta’ the park with their 2016 release. Bright and aromatic, with soft tannins, this one offers up lovely notes of ripe cherry, pomegranate, and fruitcake. Medium bodied, lithe and very easy to drink, this is would work well with grilled chicken or pork preparations.

5. Surprise Wine – It’s my pick for the top ‘grill-friendly’ red of the year! We’ll open just 1 bottle of this 93 pointer, so come early!
