Spanish Wine Dinner at Curate

Spanish Wine Dinner at Curate

Table Wine and Curate partner for a Spanish wine dinner!! Table Wine and Curate make a great team, and we’re excited to announce our next wine dinner on Wednesday, February 3rd at 6:00 p.m. in the private dining room at the restaurant. The dinner will feature five wines from award winning Spanish producer Bodegas Mustiguillo and a bevy of delicious tapas prepared by esteemed chef Katie Button. Seating is limited to just 24 people and reservations can be made by clicking here.

Bodegas Mustiguillo is a relative newcomer to the Spanish wine scene, but they are already considered one of the country’s top estates. Founded in the late 1990’s by Toni Sarrion, the winery was created to showcase the potential of Spain’s Bobal grape. Long considered a second rate varietal capable of producing simple, rough and rustic red wines, Bobal has found a new identity at Bodegas Mustiguillo. By working with old vines, decreasing yields, harvesting later, and fermenting in concrete and French oak, Toni and his family have helped to save this indigenous variety and coax it from obscurity and rusticity to the forefront of truly world class wines. This hard work has resulted in some very prestigious awards including Top Spanish Wine at Decanter’s World Wine Awards in 2014 and being named one of the top wineries in the world by Wine and Spirits magazine.

This is a tremendous opportunity to taste all of the estate’s wines with tapas specifically prepared for each wine. After the dinner, all of the wines will be available to purchase at discounted prices through Table Wine. Cheers and happy drinking and eating in Asheville!
