Join us this Thursday, July 3rd any time between 4 and 7 p.m. to “wine down” your work week and get your holiday week end off to a good start with the best wine tasting in Asheville! This week, we’re pouring a sensational sextet of wines that are guaranteed to make your Fourth of July Festivities even more festive. We’ll start you with an ice cold taste of the 2012 Marc Roman Terret, a dry and crisp white wine laced with apple, pear and citrus notes. The 2012 Cederberg Bukettraube comes next, and it’s rich, exotic, and just off-dry with notes of apricot, peach, honey and flowers. To round out the chilled wines, we’ll pour you the 2013 Borsao Rose, a 100% Garnacha-based wine brimming with fresh strawberry, cherry and raspberry fruit.
Moving on to the reds, the 2012 Stemmari Pinot Noir is smooth and rich, with rounded flavors of ripe cherry, strawberry and light spice. Next up, the 2012 J. Bouchon CantoSur blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Camenere, and Merlot together to create a wine that tastes like a hypothetical Bordeaux meets South America blend — it’s a total knockout of a wine that can be yours for less than $15! And we’ll end on a very special note with the 2009 Gratia Malbec, the first vintage of this wine made. While other stores are selling the delicious 2011 vintage, we were able to buy a big pile of the 2009 and the additional bottle age on this one has resulted in a wine that is truly magnificent. It’s an excellent tasting this week and the perfect chance to taste, save, and stock up for the holiday.
Tasting wines are 10% off by the bottle, 15% off if you mix six of them, and 20% off if you mix twelve of them!
