Great Value Domestic Wines

Great Value Domestic Wines

The best way to learn about wine is to taste it, and we conduct one of Asheville’s Best Free Wine Tastings every Saturday from 2 to 5. This week, we’re unveiling a great new trio of wines from California and Washington State. We’ve been on a hot streak finding affordable and delicious wines from our own country’s West Coast, and we know you’re going to like these. It’s all reds this Saturday, and with the nights getting cooler and cooler, we hope you’re all “cool” with that.

First up, the 2011 Pennywise Pinot Noir is part of the Sebastiani Family’s Wine Group. It’s a screaming value in high quality, super affordable California Pinot Noir with gorgeous aromas of ripe cherry, strawberry, and light spice and a seamless, plush palate. Up next, the 2011 Glory Days Zinfandel comes from Lodi and is made with some pretty old vine fruit. Rich, spicy, and packed with brambly berry fruit, it makes for a great everyday chugger. We’ll finish up with the 2011 Hyatt Vineyards Syrah from Washington State’s Rattlesnake Hills AVA. It is a “serious” wine at a seriously moderate price! With plush fruit, spices, and a little bit of earthiness, it has some European tendencies, but there’s great presence of ripe fruit at the same time. We’re big fans! Stop by, taste some great value domestic wines, learn a thing or two, and stock up and save on some delicious and reasonably priced wines this Saturday at Table Wine’s free wine tasting.

Tasting wines are 10% off by the bottle, 15% off when you mix any six of them and 20% off if you mix twelve!
