Go-To European Wines - Try 3 For Free Wine Tasting

Saturday, July 1 from 2-5 p.m. – Stop by the store this Saturday for our free wine tasting featuring some great, go-to European wines. I’m talking about affordable, delicious wines perfect for your Fourth of July celebrations.

I can’t believe the Fourth of July is almost here! The summer is flying by, and we’re busier than ever. Thanks folks! With the holiday just a few days away, we’re going to pour you some great wines to enjoy while you’re cooking out and enjoying time with friends and family. Up first, it’s one of my new favorite pink fizzy wines. The Venturini Baldini Lambrusco is cheap, it’s delicious, and it’s refreshing. After that, it’s a pure Garnacha from Spain’s Aragon region. This region in Northeastern Spain is where the grape comes from, and this wine is seriously delicious………and less than $10! To finish, it’s a super duper red blend put together by Kermit Lynch, one of our favorite importers. Mainly Syrah and Grenache, it is a fabulous red to serve with just about any sort of grilled meat.

All of the featured tasting wines are on sale the day of the tasting: take 10% off if you mix any 3, 15% off if you mix any 6, or 20% off if you mix any 12.

1. NV Venturini Baldini Lambrusco Rosato “Cadelvento” (Emilia-Romagna, Italy) – Lambrusco has made a huge comeback and I attribute that to quality producers like Venturini Baldini. Since 1976, they have made Lambrusco their focus and their wines are affordable and delicious. Their Rosato is the perfect start to a great evening with friends and family. Dry, sparkling, clean and delicious.

2. 2016 Gerberas Garnacha (Aragon, Spain) – I was blown away by this wine when I tasted it a couple of weeks ago. Good thing I ordered 10 cases as it sold out in less than 2 hours. Pure Garnacha from 30 year old vines, it is fermented in stainless steel. The resulting wine is fat, plush, juicy and delicious. Need a wine for burgers and hot dogs or bbq? This is it!

3. 2015 Kermit Lynch Languedoc Rouge (Languedoc, France) – God bless America and God bless Kermit Lynch. For nearly 50 years, he has brought us a taste of real, authentic French wines, and he’s done it again. This custom-made blend is composed of 60% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 5% each Carignan and Cinsault. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in a combination of cement and foudre, it is just simply delicious. Words don’t do it justice — stop by and taste it.
