This Friday, December 14 at Table Wine in South Asheville from 4-7pm – We welcome one and all to join us to taste 7 wonderful Italian wines. Light palate cleansers too. FREE TO THE PUBLIC!
Time flies and we’re all ready to our last Friday Winedown of 2012. Our good buddy Mike Tiano from The Haw River Wine Man will be packing and pouring some serious Italian juice from some of the country’s most famous regions. Some of the highlights include an incredible single vineyard Barbera, a 91 point rated Barbaresco for under $30 and a big, rich Amarone.
Even better, this one is free to the public. We want to introduce as many folks as possible to the Table Wine vibe, so please invite a friend or two. The lineup of wines is below:
1. Belstar Prosecco
The best value Prosecco on the planet!
2. 2010 Fontanvecchia Falanghina
From an ancient grape variety, this coats the palate with exotic fruits and mineral.
3. 2010 Tabarrini Il Padrone
A beautiful, juicy blend of Sangiovese, Sagrantino, Cab and Merlot.
4. 2010 Morisfarms Morellino di Scansano
Powerful, rich, layered Sangiovese from the Tuscan coast.
5. 2008 Paitin Barbera d’Alba “Campolive”
Single vineyard, old vine Barbera bliss!
6. 2008 Paitin Barbaresco “Serra”

A super-ripe, full bodied effort for a great price. Try with blue cheese and call it a night!
