If you don’t like French wines, I don’t know what to tell you. I’m infatuated with them and so are many of our most devoted customers. And we’re breaking out the good stuff for this tasting! Stop by to taste a brilliant White Burgundy value, a charming Chinon from one of the masters of the appellation, and a bold and spicy Chateauneuf du Pape from one of the oldest growers in the region. Stop by, taste, learn, and save every Saturday at Table Wine.

All the featured tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle on tasting day only.

1. 2017 Domaine Talmard Macon-Chardonnay (Burgundy, France): The new vintage of the Talmard Macon is soooo good! From the village of Chardonnay, in Southern Burgundy, this un-oaked white shows plenty of body and richness paired with refreshing acidity and minerality. You’re gonna’ love it.

2. 2015 Charles Joguet Chinon “Cuvee Terroir” (Loire Valley, France): Joguet helped put Chinon and Loire Valley reds on the map, and this is a stellar rendition of Cabernet Franc. Showing loads of potent berry fruit along with hints of pepper, olive, earth, and mineral, it’s fresh, inviting, and invigorating. Part of me wants to just chug, but the other part wants to sip it slowly and relish the experience.

3. 2016 Domaine de la Solitude Chateauneuf du Pape (Rhone Valley, France) – Year in and year out, Solitude makes some of the most delicious, forward, and friendly Chateauneuf du Pape out there. With 2016 going down as one of the great vintages of the 21st century, this is clicking on all cylinders. The “2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a gem that’s loaded with notions of ripe strawberries, kirsch, garrigue, and spice. It has everything in the right places, a layered, elegant profile, moderate tannins, and impeccable balance.” – Jeb Dunnuck – 93 points
