1. 2017 Les Vignerons de Florensac Picpoul de Pinet (Languedoc, France) –Often referred to as the “Muscadet of Southern France,” the Picpoul grape produces a light, dry,and zesty white wine marked by lime, green apple, herb and mineral. It is a super refreshing white to consume poolside on hot, summer days…..and those are here for sure.
2. 2017 Fabre en Provence Cotes de Provence Rose (Provence, France) – This has been of the top-selling dry rosés of the year, and once you taste it, you’ll know why! A blend of Cinsault, Grenache, and Syrah, this one displays lovely aromas of strawberry, white peach, and flowers leading into a zesty and refreshing palate. You’re gonna’ love it!
3. 2014 Familia Montana Rioja Crianza (Rioja, Spain) – Talk about a great red for grilled chops or barbecued chicken! This Tempranillo-based red spends 12 months in American and French oak barrels and another year in bottle before it is released. Flowing with complex, mature notes of dried dark fruits, leather, smoke, and exotic spice, this medium to full bodied wine is fulfilling. And it drinks like a Reserva, but costs a fraction of the price.
