Friday, March 9th from 4-7pm – Join us for a free wine tasting featuring some Sunny Mediterranean Wines from Provence and Sicily. It’s the best free wine tasting in Asheville, and you’re invited! Just stop by — we’ve got plenty of free parking.
Winter will soon be a distant memory……….at least I think and hope it will! Regardless of what it looks like outside, it will be sunny at Table Wine this Friday. Stop by the store and taste some Mediterranean wines that enjoy long and sunny growing seasons. Even better, all of these wines are new arrivals to the store and all of them come from small, family-run wineries. Shop small, drink small, be happy — that’s my philosophy. The only thing left to do is stop by, taste, learn, and save!
All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle on tasting day! To take advantage of the savings, all sales must be tendered by the end of business on Friday, March 9th.
Can’t make it, but want to take advantage of the savings? Just call us at 828.505.8588 to place your order, and we can run your credit card over the phone.
1. 2015 Valle dell’Acate Case Ibidini Insolia (Sicily, Italy) – The lovely Gaetana Jacono is the sixth generation of her family to run this esteemed Sicilian estate. She works with indigenous varietals and farms organically to maintain tradition and to preserve the soils for future generations of her family. Insolia is native to Sicily and it yields a lovely, aromatic white wine with notes of lemony citrus, fennel, and mineral. Perfect for seafood or Mediterranean flavored fish dishes, this is a Table Wine favorite.
2. 2017 Fabre en Provence Cotes de Provence Rose (Provence, France) – I’m giddy with excitement to pour our first dry rose of the 2017 vintage! And it’s a really good one! A blend of Cinsault, Grenache, and Syrah, this one displays lovely aromas of strawberry, white peach, and flowers leading into a zesty and refreshing palate. You’re gonna’ love it!
3. 2015 Valle dell’Acate Case Ibidini Nero d’Avola (Sicily, Italy) – Case Ibidini is the entry level line of wines from Valle dell’Acate, one of Sicily’s top producers. Unlike many of the massive alcohol bomb Nero d’Avolas produced in Sicily, this is more medium bodied, balanced and friendly. Fragrant red berries, mint and earthy spice come together in this accessible, easygoing wine.
