Best Free Wine Tasting in Asheville - Table Wine

Free Wine Tasting - French Daily Drinkers - Friday, February 9th

Friday, February 9th from 4-7pm – French wines do not have to be expensive to be delicious, and this free wine tasting will prove that point. Stop by for Asheville’s top free wine tasting this Friday — you’ll be glad you did!

People often ask me why there are so many great French wines that don’t cost a lot of money. It’s simple — many French vignerons have been at it for hundreds of years and they own their land. At least that’s the type of wine we champion at Table Wine. Additionally, wine is viewed as a daily “foodstuff” in France. Thus, every bottle can’t cost $20+. Hopefully, this is making sense to you. If not, stop by and we’ll expand upon this topic at this week’s free wine tasting. Stop by, taste, learn, and save big every Friday at Table Wine.

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle! To take advantage of the savings, all sales must be tendered by the end of business on Friday, February 9th.

1. 2016 Domaine Vetriccie Ile de Beaute Blanc (Corsica, France) – A blend of equal parts Vermentino and Chardonnay, this rich and opulent white offers tons of character for the price. With notes of ripe citrus, apricot, and white floral nuances, this makes for a perfect house white.

2. 2015 Les Epinats Saumur Rouge (Loire Valley, France) – Talk about a red wine that truly exudes “Frenchness.” This Cabernet Franc-based wine is earthy, peppery, fresh, and alive. Look for notes of dark cherry, freshly tilled dirt, and spice. Yum!

3. 2014 Chateau Massiac Minervois “Cuvee Sentinelle” (Languedoc, France) – One of the great red wine values of Southern France, Chateau Massiac’s Cuvee Sentinelle is a blend of Syrah and Carignan. Ripe, open knit, and packed with plummy dark fruit, spice, and smoky mineral notes, it is ideal for consuming solo or with roasted meats, stews, or chili.
