Join us this Saturday and every Saturday between 2 and 5 p.m. to taste some of our favorite value-priced wines. We refer to these selections as “Tuesday Night Wines”, because they’re perfectly suited to everyday, casual drinking with or without foods. It’s fun, it’s casual and it’s unpretentious so what do you have to lose? This week, we’ll be sampling out 4 wines, including the wine of the week, the delicious 2011 Domaine Amido Cotes du Rhone Villages!
The Wines
Prices range from $8 to $14
1. 2012 Santa Luz Sauvignon Blanc
Just good, honest, citrus fruited Sauvignon Blanc for less than $10. If you like Marlborough versions, you’ll love this one!
2. Mountain View Vineayards Mountain White
This fun and fruity blend of Colombard, Chenin Blanc and Gewurztraminer goes down too easy! It is a simple, no fuss white that should come with a straw attached to it.
3. 2012 Santa Luz Carmenere
Carmenere is Chile’s signature red grape variety, much like Malbec is to Argentina. This one is smooth and supple, with nice notes of plum, black cherry and cedary spice.
4. 2011 Domaine Amido CDR Villages
Please reference the “Wine of the Week” notes on this one.
