Table Wine Extreme Value Six-Pack

Free Reference Point Wine Tasting - Friday, December 1st

Friday, December 1st from 4-7pm – Join us for a free Reference Point Wine Tasting with winery founder and winemaker Mike Bell. Mike is a good friend of mine and he is also the local branch manager of Mutual Distributing. He also makes awesome Oregon wines!

Support your local winemaker and stop by the store to sample some splendid wines from Oregon’s Willamette Valley. We’re talking tiny production wines — like just over 100 cases of the Pinot Noir Rosé and just under 300 cases of Mike’s Pinot Noir. The wines are great, Mike is a very likable guy, and you should stop by for this rare opportunity to taste wines with the person who made them. Taste, learn, and save every Friday at Table Wine.

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle on tasting day! All sales must be tendered by the end of business on Friday.

1. 2014 Matchbook Chardonnay “The Arsonist” (Dunnigan Hills, California) – If you love big, rich, creamy and full-flavored California Chardonnays, The Arsonist is for you! Made with fruit from the vineyards top sites in the warm Dunnigan Hills AVA, the wine is 100% barrel fermented and undergoes 100% malolactic fermentation. The resulting wine is full bodied and flamboyant with notes of buttered pear, green fig, and creamy butterscotch. Smooth and rounded on the palate, this should appeal to fans of classically styled California Chardonnays like Rombauer.
Special Tasting Price: $17.59/bottle

2. 2016 Reference Point Pinot Noir Rosé (Willamette Valley, Oregon) – Mike owns a tiny, 1-acre plot in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, and it is planted entirely to the Pommard clone of Pinot Noir. His dry rosé is made using the “saignée method,” whereby during the first few hours of making a red wine, some of the juice is bled off and put into a new vat to make rosé. It offers up gorgeous scents and flavors of spicy cherry, strawberry, and raspberry.
Special Tasting Price: $13.59/bottle

3. 2015 Reference Point Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley, Oregon) – Just 275 cases of this one were produced in the hot, dry, and sunny 2015 vintage. Those traits resulted in richer, fuller Pinots, and this one is definitely that, although it retains serious class and elegance. Flowing with notes of red berries, cola, pepper and vanilla, this silky-smooth Willamette Valley Pinot is a delicious wine and a great value.
Special Tasting Price: $19.19/bottle
