Free on Fridays Wine Tasting - Perfect House Wines

Friday, February 3rd from 4-7pm — Get your weekend off to a good start with the best free wine tasting in Asheville! This week, we’ll pour you perfect house wines. Affordable, delicious, and perfect for all occasions!

Being that Table Wine focuses on finding “artisanal wines at affordable prices,” it’s only natural that we stock a multitude of great, hand crafted wines that sell for less than $15. Join us this Friday to sample some of our favorites! We’ll start with one of the best Pinot Grigio values on the planet — trust us, this one has more body, more flavor, and a plumper texture than anything else on the market for $10. Next up is one of the great Chardonnay values in the world — made by the talented Jean-Marc Lafage (one of the best winemakers in Southern France), it is a consistent 90+ pointer and this year’s release is outstanding. To finish, it’s a new Red Blend from California — made by Larry Levin, the same guy who makes the Grayson wines, this is like a “Poor Man’s Prisoner.” Stop by, taste, learn, and save big on all of the featured tasting wines.

Can’t make it by, but want to place an order? Just email us at josh@tablewineasheville.com.

The Wines
Save big on all of the tasting wines! Mix any 3 of them and save 10%, mix any 6 and save 15%, or mix any 12 and save 20%!

1. 2015 Alois Lageder Riff Pinot Grigio (Tre Venezie, Italy): Alois Lageder is regarded as one of the great producers of Italy’s Alto Adige zone, and for this wine, he selects fruit from his large and diverse list of high quality growers. The resulting wine is one of the best Pinot Grigio values we’ve ever come across. Ripe and nicely textured, with fresh apple, pear, peach and floral notes, this is a really nice interpretation of Pinot Grigio.

2. 2014 Domaine Lafage Novellum Chardonnay (Roussillon, France)This is year in and year out one of the greatest Chardonnay values on the planet, and the 2015 is no exception. Jeb Dunnuck of The Wine Advocate said, “Tasting like it cost three times the price, it offers lots of orchard fruits, white peach, honeysuckle and a hint of vanilla to go with a medium to full-bodied, crisp, yet still textured and mouth-filling style on the palate.” 90 points

3. 2015 Ghostrider Ungrafted Red Blend (Various Regions, California) – This is a new one, but it’s already flying off the shelves! A combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and a few others, it is super ripe, supple, and packed with flavors of warm berries, spices and toasty oak. For fans of wines like The Prisoner and such, this is a great everyday option.
