1. 2014 Anterra Chardonnay (Sicily, Italy) – Anterra is the Italian word for “Old World” and refers to Italy’s ancient winemaking traditions. This is simple, straightforward, and dry Chardonnay that is perfect for parties and casual sipping. With no oak treatment on this one, it exhibits classic Chardonnay notes of apple, pear and citrus fruits.
2. 2013 Anterra Merlot (Sicily, Italy) – Like Anterra’s Chardonnay, their Merlot is not hard to understand. Boasting aromas and flavors of ripe cherry, plum and spice, this medium bodied and easy going red would work great with simple pasta dishes or comfort food staples barbecue or burgers.
3. 2015 Santa Luz Cabernet Sauvignon “Alba” (Central Valley, Chile) – This easy drinking, fruit forward red is the perfect “Cocktail Cabernet.” Not overly complex, heavy or tannic, it’s perfect with or without food. Bursting with juicy cherry, blackcurrant, and pepper notes, it finishes round, smooth, and velvety. Stock up on this one for everyday drinking and large gatherings.
