This was one of the funnest and best attended tastings we held last summer and we’re counting on you all to bring it again this year. Many of you are going to be cooking out, hanging out and having a good time with friends and family, and wine is the perfect beverage for good times. We’ll have a great lineup of budget friendly wines that will make your barbecue taste better and your fireworks pop.
We’ll start the tasting with a big bottle of Gruner Veltliner that tastes great by itself but even better with fried chicken. After that, we’ll pour you a Vinho Verde that begs for a sunny day and a bathing suit, and then we’ll hit you with a luscious dry rosé from the Cotes du Rhone region. Next up, we’ll hit you with an absolutely fantastic Super Tuscan from a tiny family estate and then we move on to things bigger and bolder. A legendary Zinfandel blend from California and a thermonuclear fruit bomb from the southern part of Italy………..both love ribs, barbecued chicken and other “fourth fare”.
Happy Independence Day from your favorite independent, local wine shop! We hope to see you for the tasting. It’s free to the people.
