Friday, August 18th from 4-7pm – Join us for a free dry rosé tasting this Friday! All of our in-stock dry rosés are on sale through Saturday, August 19th, and we’re pulling the corks on some of our favorites for you to try before you buy.

Vintage 2016 proved to be a great one for dry rosés from all parts of the globe, and Table Wine is home to the largest selection of pink wines in Asheville. Join us as we pour you four of the top wines of the vintage, stock up, and save big. We’ll start with the lovely Rubentis from Spain’s Ameztoi winery. Super dry and possessing crunch, zesty acidity, this slightly effervescent wine is always a staff and customer favorite. Up next, it’s the fantastic and distinctively delicious Bodegas Muga Rosado. A blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Viura, it is precise, tangy and laced with notes of cherry, strawberry, apricot and white flowers. After that, we’ll pour you a splash of Anton Bauer’s refreshing rosé from Austria — a blend of Zweigelt, Merlot and Syrah, it might be my favorite under-$15 pink wine in the store. Last but not least, Chateau Puech-Haut’s Prestige Rosé was one of The Wine Advocate’s highest rated rosés of the vintage! Intensely fragrant and deceptively powerful, it’s a real knockout. 1. 2016 Ameztoi Rubentis Txakolina (Getariako, Txakolina) – I know, you’re like what the heck does that say? Don’t worry about it folks, this stuff is straight up delicious. A 50/50 blend of Hondarribi Beltza and Hondarribi Zuri from vineyards that range in age from 20 to 150+ years old, this remind me a bit of a strawberry/lime Snapple, minus the sugar. Yum, yum, yum! 91 points Vinous Media

2.2016 Bodegas Muga Rosado (Rioja, Spain) – If you knew me well, you might ask why I have chosen two Spanish wines, as I am a hardcore Franco-phile. I am actually an equal opportunity drinker and happen to love roses from Rioja. Bodegas Muga is relatively new to the game in Rioja, having been founded in 1932. Their rose is a blend of 60% Garnacha, 30% Viura and 10% Tempranillo fermented in wooden vats for 15-20 days. The end result is a rich, pretty and impeccably balanced rose that smells and tastes of white peach with notes of wild strawberries.

3. 2016 Anton Bauer Rosé (Wagram, Austria) – Born in 1971, Anton Bauer is the fourth generation to manage his family’s 25 hectare vineyard and winery. His dry rosé is a blend of nearly equal parts Zweigelt, Merlot and Syrah and it is fermented in stainless steel. Dry, super crisp, and offering up flavors of tart cherry, cranberry, citrus, and white flowers, it is the perfect wine to beat the heat of summer.

4. 2016 Chateau Puech-Haut Prestige Rosé (Languedoc) – I’ve drunk a lot of Puech-Haut wines over the years, and I tend to agree with Jeb Dunnuck of The Wine Advocate who called it “easily one of the top estates in the Languedoc.” The new release of their rosé is another winner that I could drink for days. Primarily Grenache with a dollop of Cinsault, all of the grapes come from 30-60 year old, biodynamically farmed vineyards. Quite pale in color but intensely aromatic with notes of white flowers, strawberry and white peach, it’s just straight up gorgeous. 92 points The Wine Advocate
