The Wines
1. 2015 Montinore Estate Pinot Gris (Willamette Valley, Oregon) – Montinore is our country’s largest producer of certified organic wines, but even more importantly, their wines offer incredible quality for the price. Their Pinot Gris is dry and vibrant with lovely aromas and flavors of fresh pear, apple, citrus, and zesty acidity. Perfect for grilled salmon and veggies!
2. 2015 Chateau Font-Mars Rose “Clemence” (Languedoc, France) – This pale pink colored rose is composed entirely of Syrah from vineyards in the south-central part of France. Completely dry and packed with strawberry, cherry, herb and white floral/botanical notes, it is another fabulous rose from the Table Wine arsenal (we have 30+ dry roses in stock right now!). Sip it grill-side or enjoy with grilled seafood.
3. 2014 Bodegas Abanico Hazana Rioja Vinas Viejas (Rioja, Spain) – This is always a ton of wine for the money, but the 2014 is extra special. A blend of 85% Tempranillo and 15% Graciano from 45 to 70 year old vineyards, it is deeply colored and full bodied offering up gorgeous notes of ripe berries, graphite, licorice and tobacco. 92 points Robert Parker and perfect for steak.
4. 2014 Domaine Amido Cotes du Rhone Villages “Signargues” (Rhone Valley, France) – It’s our best selling wine of all time and it’s our new Case of the Month selection. Domaine Amido’s Cotes du Rhone is simply delicious! A blend of Grenache and Syrah fermented in stainless steel, it is full bodied and luscious with loads of warm and ripe cherry, raspberry and plum fruit. With soft tannin and mild acidity, it is a smooth as silk. Perfect for barbecued chicken or pork.
