Asheville's Best Wine Tasting - Friday Wine Down

Join us this Friday, July 18th any time between 4 and 7 p.m. to “wine down” your work week and get your week end off to a good start with Asheville’s best wine tasting! It’s just $5/person or it’s free if you’re a Grape Nut. This week, it’s an exemplary lineup of wines including four French beauties and an Italian Heartthrob! Sound good? Keep reading then!

We’ll start with the 2011 Domaine Dupeuble Beaujolais Blanc, a clean and floral rendition of Chardonnay that is just begging for a roast chicken dinner. Next up, the 2013 Vignerons du Mont Ventoux Rosé is yet another fabulous dry rosé from Southern France that exhibits lovely notes of watermelon, strawberry and cherry fruit.

Moving into the first red, the 2012 Eric Texier Cotes du Rhone “Chat Fou” is a distinctive and unique style of Cotes du Rhone. Lighter in body and exhibiting more pure and tangy red fruit than most of its peers, it reminds us a little bit of a really nice and quaffable Beaujolais. The 2012 Moillard Cotes du Rhone “La Violette” is more what one expects out of the Southern Rhone. Deeply colored and flowing with dark cherry, kirsch, pepper and violet, it’s a smooth and juicy bistro-styled red. We’ll finish with the 2011 Casa Contini Brindisi Riserva, a heady, rich, and extroverted red wine based on a blend of Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera and Sangiovese. Boasting rich and ripe aromas of baked fruit, chocolate, vanilla and oak spice, this will remind many of you of the Verso Salento Rosso, one of our best selling reds of last summer! Come on by, taste, learn, and save every Friday at Table Wine.

Tasting wines are 10% off by the bottle, 15% off if you mix six of them, and 20% off if you mix twelve of them!
