1. 2017 Domaine Duffour Cotes de Gascogne Blanc (Gascogne, France) – I’m proud that the best selling white wine in the history of the store is from a lesser-known region in France. Add to that the fact that the blend here is Colombard, Ugni Blanc, and Gros Manseng (huh?), and I’m even more proud. When you taste the wine, it will all make sense. Dry, fresh, crisp, and intensely aromatic, this is the quintessential white table wine.

2. 2016 Domaine Amido Cotes du Rhone Villages “Signargues” (Rhone Valley, France) – This is the one! It’s our top-seller of all time. Mostly Grenache, with a bit of Syrah and Mourvedre, this one is all about pure pleasure. Rich, ripe, and voluptuous, it shows off notes of ripe kirsch, blueberry, raspberry, pepper, and spice. It’s full-bodied, yet round, soft, and fine-grained.

3. 2013 Caprili Brunello di Montalcino (Tuscany, Italy) – I’d be fibbing if I told you this was one of our best sellers, but who doesn’t like to drink 94-point-rated Brunello? Anyone? And we’re offering this one up at the best price in the country. This traditional, old-school producer makes wines that possess tremendous balance on all fronts. There’s great, ripe fruit, but there’s plenty of savory, earthy stuff as well. And there’s certainly tannin here, but that’s countered by the rich and hearty fruit. Really, really good stuff. 94 points James Suckling
