Join us this Friday, May 10th for a “545” wine tasting where you get to try 5 wines for $5! This week, we’re going to pour you some new arrivals to the store. We know, you’re looking at the picture and seeing some wines you’ve all ready tried, but many of these are new vintages of old favorites. When you’re dealing in small family estate wines, every vintage is a new adventure as weather patterns vary and the small guys produce wines that are indicative of these changes in conditions.
We’ll start with a new, spring friendly Cotes du Rhone Blanc based mainly on Viognier followed by a Spanish Godello from one of the region’s top producers. As we move into reds, it’s several new vintages of old favorites. We’ll start with the Frappato from Valle Dell’Acate, a Pinot Noir lookalike if ever there were one. Next is the Vecchia Torre Salice Salentino that might just be the best red wine value in the store at the moment. We’ll finish with a Ribera del Duero that is composed of some delicious, flavor packed, 70 year old Tempranillo. It’s going to be an adventure! Stop by and get your week end off to a good start. $5/person…..Free for Grape Nuts
