Best Free Wine Tasting - Asheville, NC - Table Wine

12 Bones and Rhones

“12 Bones and Rhones” at Table Wine – Thursdy, May 26 from 7-9pm – $40 per person/$32 for Grape Nuts

Do you like rich, spicy and robust red wine and/or beautifully aromatic white wines? If you answered yes, then this is the tasting for you. In the picture above, you see the galets of Chateauneuf du Pape, rounded stones that the vines literally grow out of. We’ll sample a total of 8 wines, as anything less than this just wouldn’t do the region justice. The highlight of the night will be two wonderful and highly rated Chateauneufs from the glorious 2007 vintage. This tasting is for the seasoned Rhonophile as well as those who are interested in learning more about the region’s wines. And just to up the ante a little bit, we’ll be picking up ribs, chicken and fixins’ from 12 Bones to pair up with the wines. Please RSVP and reserve your spot by calling us at 828.505.8588. We can only take 24 lucky folks for this special tasting, so call us asap.

The event will take place in the store, and you’ll be provided with tables, chairs, maps and handouts. Take a look at the lineup below, and I think you’ll agree that the price tag is more than fair. Even better, if you’re a Grape Nut, all of the wines will be offered to you at 10% off by the bottle, 15% off in mixed six packs or 20% off in mixed cases. Keep in mind that this tasting is being done Table Wine style, so just because you haven’t heard of it doesn’t mean it’s not good. There will be no big name producers in the tasting, but if you’ve liked what you’ve bought here in the past, give us the benefit of the doubt.
