Domaine de Triennes Rose 2025

Triennes Rosé: Provence Elegance from Burgundy Legends

I had a glass of Triennes Rose on the patio the other evening, and it reminded me why this has become one of my go-to Provencal roses year after year.

Domaine de Triennes Rose

I don't buy wines based on pedigree alone, but when the founders are Aubert de Villaine of Romanee-Conti and Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac, I pay attention. Thankfully, this isn't one of those wines that relies on a famous name to sell bottles, and this is no cookie-cutter rosé. Far from it, this has a personality all its own and delivers the sort of complexity, freshness, and class that you usually have to pay a lot more for.

Oh yeah, it's on deal for just $19.99/bottle, over 20% off the regular price! We've got 84 bottles in stock, and this is on sale through June 13.

The Triennes story is a good one. Drawn to the remarkable terroir of Provence's Var region, de Villaine and Seysses purchased vineyards in the shadow of the Sainte-Baume mountains and set out to make wines that combined Burgundian precision with the sunny, relaxed character of southern France. They succeeded, and then some.

Crafted primarily from Cinsault, along with Grenache, Syrah, and a touch of Merlot, the grapes are harvested during the cool nighttime hours to preserve freshness and aromatic lift. After a short period of skin contact, the juice is gently pressed and fermented at cool temperatures, resulting in the pale salmon hue and vibrant character that have made Provence rosé famous around the world.

In the glass, this is everything I want from a serious summer rose. Aromas of freshly picked raspberry, blood orange, rose petal, and citrus leap from the glass. The palate is just as captivating, offering flavors of red berries, citrus zest, and a subtle Aperol-like herbaceous note. Crisp, dry, and beautifully balanced, it manages to be refreshing and complex all at once.

I love this with grilled shrimp, seared tuna, charcuterie, and simple summer salads, but it also works beautifully as an aperitif. Pour a glass, sit outside, and let Provence come to you.

If you're a fan of authentic Provencal rose, this is one you should have in your fridge this summer. We've got 84 bottles, and I don't think they'll last long.
