Talk about a stellar Russian River Pinot Noir at a great price! Vintage 2019 was a great vintage for Sonoma County Pinot Noir, and the Matias Pinot Noir shows classic Russian River style and grace.
Being that the guy who makes this trained at Williams Selyem, one of the pioneers of Russian River Pinot Noir, you are not going to believe the quality-to-price ratio on this one.

When I'm considering Russian River Pinots for the store, I look for wines that have some "meat on the bone" along with richer, plusher, and more luxurious aromas and flavors. That is exactly what you get here, but you typically have to spend $40+ to get it.
Dan Fitzgerald is "dialed in" to the Sonoma County wine scene. He knows all of the growers, he sources grapes from top sites, and he nurtures that precious fruit from vineyard to the bottle. He made his contacts and honed his skills during his tenures at Williams Selyem and Robert Sinskey, and one sniff and sip of this, and you'll know you're drinking the good stuff :)
It pours a deep ruby color and exudes classic scents of ripe cherry, raspberry preserves, clove, vanilla, and allspice. Equally attractive, the palate is lush, silky, long, and satisfying. I'm not sure where they sourced their grapes from, as they don't disclose that, but I am certain the grapes must have come from top sites. Being that Dan trained at Williams Selyem, perhaps some very exciting sites....
What an impressive and absolutely delicious wine at a great price. Enjoy it with bbq chicken, pork tenderloin, or even beef tenderloin. This has got the "stuffing" to match up with fuller-flavored fare. I've got 14 cases up for grabs at the crazy-good deal price. Act fast!
