We are not a snobby wine shop, and I make it a point to find wines for folks with all sorts of palates and budgets. That's where a wine like the Solroom Red Blend comes in handy. It's rich, ripe, pleasure-bent, and it tastes like a more expensive Wagner Family-made wine, but it's just $13.99!
Made by the same fella who makes the Spoken West wines, it's one of the top domestic Red Blend values we stock. Jamey Whetstone previously made wines alongside Ehren Jordan at Turley for 7 years, and Solroom is his creation. A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petite Sirah, this stuff is jammy, plush, and it makes for a great "house red."
NV Solroom Red Blend: Why should you buy it?
- This is our answer to a Wagner Family or Decoy Red Blend. The only difference is that production is much smaller, and the winemaking is more hands-on, and carried out by a master of his trade.
- It's smooth, ripe, supple, and great with or without food. Jammy notes of dark cherry, cassis, raspberry liqueur, chocolate, and toasty oak all make an appearance in this daily drinker.
- The price is hard to beat! At less than $14, I don't know what more you could ask for out of this pleasure-bent, extreme value red.
- It's a perfect example of why you should buy your "daily wines" from us, and not from the grocery store. We put a bit more thought into our value-priced wines.....
Stock up on this one to enjoy with comfort foods like burgers, barbecued chicken, or baby back ribs. No food required though, this one is super smooth.
