Argiolas makes this from their oldest Vermentino vines, and they let the grapes hang a bit longer, giving them more time to develop intense flavor, concentration, and complexity. Despite all that concentration, it remains light on its feet due to Vermentino's naturally bright acidity.
If you know anything about Sardinian wine, you know Argiolas is one of the best producers on the island. Founded in 1938 by Antonio Argiolas, the estate is still family owned and operated. From the beginning, they've chosen quality over quantity and dedicated themselves to producing archetypal wines from native Sardinian varietals.
Their 'Is Argiolas' is the winery's top white, and it's fermented entirely in stainless steel to preserve its fresh character. Aged for 8 months on the lees, which allows the wine to gain texture and complexity, it all adds up to a killer bottle of white wine.
