It might sound like a stretch when I say Bouscatiere's white Cotes du Rhone is reminiscent of Condrieu, but I stand firmly behind that assessment...
A gorgeously aromatic and silky blend of 80% Viognier and 20% Roussanne, this is my idea of the perfect white for autumn's cooler weather. It's got good weight and texture, it's got serious depth of flavor, and it's priced to sell.
Just 7 cases up for grabs....I bought my distributor out....get some before it's gone!

This is what I want every white Cotes du Rhone to taste like! I want aromas and flavors of sun-kissed peach, golden apple, apricot white flowers, and spice. I also want some body, texture, and oomph, and I definitely get all of those qualities with Bouscateire's Blanc.
Simply put, this is an amazing white wine value. Quite rich and bordering on hedonistic, you could easily throw this into a blind tasting with White Chateauneufs and Condrieus, and I'm not sure you'd be able to tell the difference....until the wines and the prices were unveiled. Then you'd see that White Chateauneuf and Condrieu start at $50 and go up from there....I'm just saying....great value!
Domaine de la Bouscatiere is a 4th generation, family-run domaine based in Gigondas, in the heart of the Southern Rhone. They own vineyards in their home village as well as in Vacqueyras and the greater Cotes du Rhone appellation. They are very pragmatic in their vineyards, adopting a "lutte raisonee" policy that sustains the health of their soils so the next generation can continue the family's legacy.
Whatever they're doing, I say BRAVO and keep up the good work. I bought my distributor out of this one, but that only added up to 84 bottles or so. You know what to do next...
