Bonhomme's Macon-Villages is always fantastic, but in the brilliant 2022 Burgundy vintage, it is astoundingly delicious. We consider it to be the gold standard of Macon Blancs, and we think you will too.
We always order the maximum amount allowed of this one, but it's never enough. So much more than a simple Macon, this is quite ripe, rich, and regal. Despite the wine's extravagance, there's super zesty acids and wonderful minerality present to keep things balanced.

Domaine Andre Bonhomme is an icon of the Maconnais, and the estate's wines have "gone cult" at Table Wine. That is a term that refers to a wine with a rabid and loyal legion of fans that ensures that supply never meets demand. I can certainly attest to that, and we never get enough of this one, the estate's "entry-level" wine. Trust me, there's nothing entry-level about this.
One of the finest estates in Southern Burgundy, they helped revolutionize the region, inspiring many producers to follow in their footsteps. They were one of the first to convert to organic agriculture (in the 1970's), not to be hip but to preserve the life and health of their soils. They were also one of the first to estate-bottle their own wines, leaving the cooperative life behind.
Today, their wines are loved by many, and you'll see them on Michelin-starred wine lists throughout France and Western Europe. With demand high abroad, not much makes it to the US. I was an "early adopter" of their wines, and that is why I get my fair share of this wine.
Produced from 50+ year-old vines and fermented in stainless steel, this sees a nine-month-elevage in tank on the lies. Pouring a gorgeous golden color, it exhibits aromas and flavors of golden apple, ripe peach, caramelized citrus, white flowers, and chalky mineral. The palate is full and ample yet zesty and vivacious, finishing long and enjoyable.
World-class White Burgundy for less than $30 is a rarity these days...unless you shop at Table Wine of course :) This has a lot of fans you all. It will go fast. You know what to do next!
