2022 La Lisse 'Soie d'Ivoire' Chenin Blanc

Luscious and Delightful White Wine Value: 2025 La Lisse 'Soie d'Ivoire' Chenin Blanc

What a find in high-quality, value-priced, and definitely dry Chenin Blanc!

La Lisse Chenin Blanc

"Soie d'Ivoire means "soft ivory silk," a reference to the wine's plumper, richer texture. Despite that lush character, Chenin's naturally bright acidity is at play here too, keeping this fresh, dry, and lively. It's delicious, and it makes for a great all-seasons white.

The wine comes from Limoux, in the foothills of the Pyrenees, where Chenin was originally planted in the late 1970s for sparkling wine. As the vines have aged and the region has warmed, the still Chenin Blancs have become quite compelling, and this is an outstanding example.

This will appeal to lots of different palates. Ripe peach, golden apple, nectarine, white flowers, and a hint of spice lead into a luscious palate with plenty of freshness and verve. It's a terrific alternative to Pinot Gris, unoaked Chardonnay, and other crisp yet textured whites. Pair it with spicy Asian dishes, crab cakes, scallops, or richer seafood preparations.

At $14.99, this is exactly the kind of versatile, high-quality white I love finding for you. It smells great and tastes even better! Get some while the pricing is so good!
