Josh's Perfect Thanksgiving Six-Pack

Josh's Perfect Thanksgiving Six-Pack

Our Perfect Thanksgiving Six-Packs have become a tradition that I absolutely love putting together. If you've met me, you know how much I love great food paired with small-grower, family-made wines, and I think I've outdone myself with this year's selections!

The Price: Just $149.99 NET for all 6 bottles, saving you over 25%. These are some seriously good wines at a terrific price.

You get a bottle of bubbly, 2 whites, and 3 reds, all chosen to make your Thanksgiving dinner that much better. These are the kinds of wines that make the meal special and they'll have your guests thinking your some kind of highly trained sommelier. : )

Let me take the guesswork out of your holiday wine shopping. I've done the hunting, tasting, and selecting for you. All you have to do is open the bottles and enjoy!

1. Les Caves du Prieuré Crémant de Bourgogne (Burgundy, France): There's no better way to kick off the holiday festivities than with a delicious glass of bubbly! Domaine du Prieuré's Crémant is a dead ringer for the real deal from Champagne, blending Pinot Noir and Chardonnay into a lively sparkler with notes of spiced pear, apple, citrus, almond, hazelnut, and chalky mineral.

2. Lis Neris Pinot Grigio (Friuli, Italy): Lis Neris makes a richer, more complex Pinot Grigio than most, with ripe pear, yellow apple, white peach, and subtle almond and mineral notes. Bright acidity and a lovely texture make this a terrific match for Thanksgiving turkey and all the savory sides.

3. Dominio do Bibei Lalume Blanco (Ribeiro, Spain): A terrific choice for lovers of White Burgundy, Dominio do Bibei's Lalume Blanco is primarily Treixadura, and it offers layers of pear, golden apple, fennel, and rocky minerality, with lovely texture and freshness. A characterful Spanish white that will pair beautifully with roast poultry, creamy potato dishes, and the rich flavors of the holiday table.

4. Domaine Amelie & Charles Sparr 'Carpé Diem' Pinot Noir (Alsace, France): Pinot Noir is one of the all-time great Thanksgiving wines, and Charles Sparr's Alsatian version drinks remarkably like red Burgundy. Bright notes of cranberry, raspberry, and cherry mingle with earthy minerals, spice, and florals in this lovely, medium-bodied red. Elegant, fresh, and tailor-made for the holiday table!

5. Domaine de Fenouillet 'Terres Blanches' Beaumes de Venise Rouge (Rhone Valley, France): This certified-organic Côtes du Rhône from brothers Patrick and Vincent Soard is a terrific value, blending Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre from the hillsides around the Dentelles de Montmirail. A little bolder and spicier, it still delivers fine-grained tannins and a smooth, easy-drinking finish. Just the ticket for roast turkey, stuffing, and all the hearty flavors of Thanksgiving!

6. Brolo delle Giare Valpolicella 'Valpentana' Superiore (Veneto, Italy): If you're after something bigger, bolder, and richer, yet still supple and smooth, this Valpolicella Superiore from the Tezza family delivers. Dark cherry, cassis, and exotic spice abound. I always love an Italian red at Thanksgiving because its natural acidity lifts the food beautifully. This one even gives pricier Amarones a run for their money!

There you go, Thanksgiving wine buying made easy. No substitutions please.
