The 2023 Bourgogne Blanc pulls fruit from their parcels in both Chassagne and Puligny-Montrachet, and that pedigree shows up immediately in the glass: Meyer lemon, orchard fruits, and white flowers marry effortlessly with hints of hazelnut, judicious oak, and a clean and mineral-driven finish that lets you know you're drinking the good stuff.
Founded by brothers Pascal and Laurent Borgeot in the 1980s (with roots going back generations), the domaine farms meticulously, focusing on low yields, organic-minded practices, and letting the vineyards speak for themselves. What’s remarkable is how often their wines punch into territory occupied by much more famous—and expensive—neighbors.
This is exactly the kind of bottle Burgundy lovers stock up on. It's priced like a Bourgogne Blanc, but it drinks a step (or two) above. In a region where prices continue to climb, Borgeot remains a go-to for people who want authentic, terroir-driven Chardonnay without the markup.
Refined, mineralic, and overdelivering in a big way, this is great by itself, but it's equally at home with poultry and seafood preparations. It’s approachable now, but with enough structure to evolve over a few years.
