The Zebedeo Blanco, a blend of Albarino from Rias Baixas and Godello from Ribeiro, is so fresh, so aromatic, and I can't believe I'm able to price this at less than $11!
The natural brightness and liveliness of Albarino matches up brilliantly with the richer and silkier stylings of Godello to create a white with tremendous balance. It's just so easy to drink, and I highly recommend you take advantage of the deal pricing.

This wine drinks way above its price point. "Put together" by importer Alex Finberg (Transparent Wine Company), he buys excess grapes from some of his top estates and growers to make the Zebedeo Blanco. One sniff and sip of this, and you can definitely tell this is made with quality fruit.
Some of you might remember Alex, as he did our first "Meet the Importer Tasting" earlier this year. If you were there, you know this guy knows his "stuff," and he also has a very astute palate. This is the same dude that brings us the Felix Saint-Bris, the Rosner Hauswein, the Ca la Bionda Valpolicella, and many other top-sellers.
One of Alex's foundational principles is to buy wines from folks who take care of their land. I respect this fully, and I love "clean farming" when it leads to delicious wines. That is exactly what you get here -- cleanly farmed, cleanly made, but most importantly, SUPER TASTY!
Albarino and Godello are two of the most important grapes of NW Spain, and they actually work really well together. The Albarino gives us bright notes of honeydew melon, nectarine, and lemon zest while the Godello provides more rounded apple, pear, and peach notes. Fresh and balanced would be the best way to describe this perfect summer white.
Of all of the $10ish white wines we stock, this is my favorite. Make it your new house white, but make sure to enjoy a bottle with shrimp sauteed in olive oil, garlic, and chili flake. Cheers to drinking the good stuff in the AVL!
