If you have grown tired of Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc and want to try something new and delicious, give the Abbona Favorita a try. Favorita is a grape that is native to Italy's Piedmont region, and it is closely related to Vermentino. If seafood is on the menu anytime soon, stock up on this stellar value to wash down anything from salmon and shrimp to lobster and oysters.
When I tasted this with my staff last Friday, we all immediately took notice....in a good way. A wine that balances good concentration and depth of flavor with wonderful freshness and an overall easy-drinking personality, it is both delicious and a great value.

Famed Dogliani producer Abbona doesn't just make world-class Dolcetto, they also know how to make a tasty white wine. This is it, it's brand new to the store, and it's a white I'll be drinking often. Much more aromatic than most Pinot Grigios and not quite as acidic as Sauvignon Blanc, it's that perfect "in-between" wine that will please lots of palates.
Fermented entirely in stainless steel to preserve freshness and purity, this one lets you know it isn't shy right away. The bouquet is what grabbed me first -- beautiful notes of jasmine, honeysuckle, pear, and citrus explode out of the glass. This is followed by a palate that is packed with flavor, brightness, and just a hint of mineral on the finish.
Italy is highly underrated for its whites, and once you taste this, you'll understand what I'm talking about. Whether you need a wine for a lavish fish/seafood feast or a casual one for cocktail sipping, this will do the trick. We've got 10 cases up for grabs at the sale price.
