Domaine Amido Cotes du Rhone 2021

Baby Chateauneuf at Less than $20! Domaine Amido Cotes du Rhone Villages

Domaine Amido Cotes du Rhone Villages Signargues

If you want to enjoy one of the wines that "made" Table Wine, pick up some of Amido's rich and hearty Cotes du Rhone. Since we opened our doors in 2010, we've sold over 5,000 bottles of this one, and every time we put in on sale, we sell a bunch. There's a good reason for that -- IT'S DELICIOUS!

Coming from the village of Signargues, just southeast of the "Chateauneuf county line," Amido's old vines thrive in the rocky soils composed of galets (rounded river stones). That's the same terroir you'd find in Chateauneuf, and while Amido's CDR isn't quite as big and complex, it's not too far off, and it's just $17.99 per bottle!

2021 Domaine Amido Cotes du Rhone -- Why Should You Buy It?

  • This is one of those red wines that everyone will like. Big enough for a Cab drinker and silky enough for a Pinot Noir lover, it's a bona fide crowd pleaser!
  • A classic blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 10% Mourvedre fermented and aged in concrete vats, this wine personifies why the Southern Rhone is home to some of the top red wine values in the world.
  • It pours a deep ruby color and smells of peppery black fruits, plum, grilled meat, Provencal herbs, and savory spice. Equally impressive on the palate, this one is full, plush, and seamless, with ripe tannin and mellow acidity.

With summer grilling season upon us, pair this rich and opulent red with fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs, barbecued chicken, or grilled burgers. Food is not required for this one though -- it's soft and smooth and great by itself!
