Paolo Cianferoni quietly and humbly makes some of the best Chianti Classico(s) in all of Tuscany.
His 2019, from a 95-point-rated vintage, is a wine of real character, complexity, and personality. If you loved Caparsa's incredible, value-priced Rosso, you've got to try their Chianti Classico.
In the worlds of Antonio Galloni of Vinous Media, this tiny estate in the hills of Radda crafts "deep, soulful wines loaded with character." Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

Drinking a glass of Caparsa's dazzling Chianti Classico transports you to the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany. It's also a great example of how Chianti can be just as captivating and age-worthy as Brunello or Vino Nobile. From certified organic, hillside vineyards in Radda in Chianti, this is what I wish all Chiantis tasted like...but they rarely do.
This is a serious bottle of wine folks. Potent, both on the nose and the palate, it exudes classic Sangiovese notes of ripe red and dark cherry, plum, toasted spice, and earth. Medium- to full-bodied, super expressive, and inviting, it will offer joyous drinking for a number of years. Drink now - 2035, perhaps longer.
I encourage you to read more about the Caparsa story HERE. Importer Jay Murrie of Piedmont Wine Imports tells it so well, and in one picture, you can sense the passion and love for the land that flows through Paolo's veins. I think by the time you finish reading and seeing, you'll want to add some of his Chianti to your collection.
I could go on and on, but the the proof is in the bottle. As Paolo says, his wines are for "wine lovers, with great complexity and strong emotions." I guess I'm a wine lover, because this wine really does it for me.
