This is a fabulous bottle of Pinot Grigio from one of the oldest family-owned estates in Alto Adige, in Northeastern Italy. Werner Walch is the fifth generation of his family to run this estate within the historic walls of a Jesuit monastery in the village of Tramin.
Alto Adige is where some of Italy's greatest Pinot Grigios are produced, and that is because of its unique climate. Lots of warm sunny days coupled with cool Alpine nights ensure perfect ripeness paired with crisp acidity and refined aromatics.
