Landhaus Mayer Rose 2024

2024 Landhaus Mayer Rosé of Zweigelt

Landhaus Mayer Rose

Mayer am Pfarrplatz is one of Vienna's and Austria's oldest wineries. They made their first wines in 1683, and today, vigneron Gerhard Lobner continues to make delicious, value-priced, and traditional wines from from sites in Niederösterreich, in Lower Austria.

For their Landhaus series of wines, Lobner sources grapes from top growers throughout the region, and their dry and aromatic rosé is composed entirely of Austria's native Zweigelt grape. For fans of Pinot Noir rosés, you should give this a shot.

I love it for its light body, refreshing acidity, and crisp palate, and you will too! We have 60 bottles up for grabs at deal pricing.

2024 Landhaus Mayer Rosé -- Why Should You Buy It?

  • It's light and fresh and oh-so nice! Possessing an intense salmon color, it exhibits notes of fresh strawberry, cherry, watermelon, orange zest, and honeysuckle.
  • Vienna's Heurigen culture is alive and well in this wine. Vienna is home to many rustic wine taverns and wine gardens called Heurigen, where fresh and vibrant wines like this one are served alongside local dishes.
  • Not all great wine has to be estate-bottled, and the proof is in this bottle. Lobner works hand-in-hand with a small group of top growers, and he is involved in the decisions made in the vineyard from bud break to harvest.
  • This allows him to oversee things from "vineyard to bottle," and to make delicious wines at affordable prices.

Create your own Heurigen at your house! Get a bottle of this, set up your porch or patio for guests, and enjoy it served alongside fresh and chilled dishes like sashimi, gazpacho, or smoked salmon.
