The Fableist Cabernet Sauvignon continues to be one of our top-selling domestic Cabs, and that's because it's plush, smooth, and delicious. Not too heavy and tannic but not at all light, it's the ideal Cab to enjoy with or without food.
Medium to full-bodied, fresh, and fine-grained, this gushes out of the glass with aromas of ripe cherry, cassis, violet, mocha, cedar, and mint, and the palate is lush and giving. Really good value for money here! - 93 points - Yours Truly
It truly personifies the style of Cab that Paso Robles is becoming known for, and Andrew Jones is the man behind the wine. I've seen a number of folks online saying that they feel the 2023 is the best vintage ever of this one, and that checks out, as Vintage 2023 was exceptional throughout Paso Robles.

Andrew Jones can best be described as a "vineyard geek." For the past several years, he has planned, planted, and worked in some of the best vineyards along California's Central Coast. He has a keen eye for diamonds in the rough -- vineyards that are unknown or under-appreciated, but sites he believes hold enormous untapped potential.
Because the farmers and vineyard owners he works with like him immensely, Jones is able to buy small lots of high quality fruit from these special sites. For his 2023 Fableist Cabernet, Jones sourced grapes from 5 certified organic vineyards, and this was brought up entirely in American oak barrels, but only 10% of the oak was new.
Once you get this open and into your glass, you will find a complete, layered, and multi-faceted Cab with aromas and flavors that are typically found in Cabs that cost $40+. Like I said earlier, Vintage 2023 was incredible in Paso Robles, and wines like this drink way above their humble price points.
