Jamey Whetstone has made the ultimate value in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Here's a wine that would be very much at home poured alongside Napa Cabs that cost 2-3 times the price, and I say that with full conviction and confidence.
Josh here, and I personally rate this at 94 points -- it's packed with flavor, it's smooth and refined, and the majority of the fruit comes from Calistoga.
Jamey's 2023 Noah River Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is dark, dense, and incredibly stylish and smooth, boasting gorgeous notes of baked blackberry, ripe plum, cherry liqueur, warm spices, and mocha. Sumptuous on the palate, this has rich and fine-grained tannins, making it perfect for sipping with or without food.

2023 Noah River Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon -- Why should you buy it?
- Jamey Whetstone is one helluva' winemaker! He worked with Ehren Jordan at Turley and the Seysses family of Domaine Dujac fame. When you taste this wine, it will become clear he learned a thing or two.....
- By purchasing fruit from top growers and making his wines at a crush facility, his expenses are much lower, plus he's not paying a land lease or property taxes. That's why this is so affordable, but the quality is still sky high.
- Jamey has lived in the Napa Valley for almost 30 years now -- over the years, he's made great connections with top growers. Most of the grapes for this Cab come from 2 prestigious growers in Calistoga, at the northern end of the Valley.
- I taste A LOT of wines and a lot of Napa Cabs each year. This one is SPECIAL, and the quality-to-price-ratio is off the charts.
If you loved the JAX Y3 Cab, you'll love this. Like the JAX, this is rich, ripe, and full-bodied, but it's soft, plump, and opulent. Enjoy it with grilled meats, a burger with blue cheese, or a big bowl of chili. It's "comfort wine," and it loves "comfort dishes," but its soft texture makes it great for sipping without food too.
