This is completely un-oaked Chardonnay from 5 top vineyards scattered throughout Sonoma County. Unlike the oaky, buttery style of Chardonnay that less and less of our customers ask for these days, this "maintains its fresh, mineral-driven character," said Great Britain's Decanter.

Lioco's 2023 Sonoma County Chardonnay is comprised of hand-harvested grapes from 5 organic vineyards. Matt and Sara don't "do much" to the wine, as their goal is to let the diverse terroirs of Sonoma County express themselves through this wine. They have done just that, and this is definitely California's answer to un-oaked, bright White Burgundy.
It is such an honest and transparent wine that showcases grape and place in equal form. Gorgeous aromas of Meyer lemon, crisp pear, green apple, citrus, and rocky mineral lead into a clean and focused palate of orchard and citrus fruits, white flowers, and saline minerality on the finish. This is so balanced, so fresh, and such a wonderful value, and with value-priced White Burgundy scarce in these parts, it's a great alternative.
