Ca' la Bionda Valpolicella Classico 2023

2023 Ca La Bionda Valpolicella Classico

Ca' La Bionda's Valpolicella Classico is such an attractive bottle of fresh and vibrant red wine, and it's a great alternative to Pinot Noir or Gamay for your Thanksgiving dinner.

Let's get one thing straight from the get-go -- this is not an Amarone or a Ripasso -- it's a much fresher and more buoyant wine with light to medium body, mild tannins, juicy acidity, and flavors of freshly-picked cherry, brambly raspberry, pink peppercorn, violet, and rose petal.

At $19.99/bottle and 20% off the regular price of $24.99, this is an incredible value in traditional and hand-crafted Italian red wine.

With Thanksgiving coming up, this is an Italian red that would perform incredibly well with turkey, ham, root veggies, and all of the other tasty sides.

Alessandro Castellani of Ca la bionda

Alessandro Castellini makes one of the prettiest Valpolicellas I've ever tasted. It is a wine of elegance, sophistication, and beautiful aromatics, and it comes from a wonderful, certified organic, family-run estate. It's just 12.5% alcohol, it's not too heavy but it's not at all light, and I think it's totally "joy in a bottle."

Imagine an elegant Red Burgundy crossed with a snappy Fleurie or Morgon, and you'll get a good idea of what this wine is like. I don't know if you have checked prices on high quality Red Burgundies or Cru Beaujolais' lately. I have, and both start at $30 and go up from there. That is why this is such a stellar value and one of the top Italian red wine deals in the shop.

Mainly Corvina, the headlining grape in all Valpolicellas, this is brought up entirely in tank to preserve freshness, purity, and verve, and the finished wine shows all of those qualities and then some. Easy to drink, but also contemplative, it's a wine I find myself going back to time and time again to enjoy with or without food.

As with many Pinot Noirs and Gamays, I prefer to drink this wine slightly chilled (55 degrees). This helps to showcase the glorious red fruits, and it also makes the wine even more refreshing.

$19.99 is the best price on this one, no further discounts, and we've got 10 cases available at deal pricing.
