The 2020 Domaine Skouras Zoe Rose is joy in a glass. This was one of my favorite dry roses last year, and it will take that title again this year.
There’s so much to like about this wine. Gorgeously aromatic, packed with flavor, yet zesty and definitely dry, it’s nearly impossible to find a fault with this delicious “Greek pink.”

The new batch of dry roses are finally landing! Sorry they are late this year, but we don’t have any control over the global shipping delays that are afflicting wine and other imports. Trust me, it was worth the wait! Domaine Skouras’s rose is always one of the more exotic and fragrant roses, and the new release definitely lives up to that description. A blend of 70% Aghiorgitiko and 30% Moscofilero, this one exudes gorgeous aromas and flavors of rose petal, ripe cherry and raspberry, and honeysuckle and herb.
Despite being slightly deeper in color than a Provencal rose, this one is completely dry and wonderfully zippy and zesty. And don’t be dissuaded from trying this one because you don’t know the grapes or Greek wines. Domaine Skouras is one of the country’s most trusted producers, and we stock several of their other wines. Plus, Greek wines are experiencing a bit of a renaissance these days, and they are more popular than ever. Taste this one, and you will know why.
It’s hard to put into words how much I love this wine. Enjoy a bottle of this with a caprese salad or some spicy Thai or Indian food. You could also keep it traditional and go with an orzo salad with feta, cucumber, olives, and tomato. Of course you could also skip the food altogether and just sip on this with nothing more than a sunny day.
