Of all the dry rose I’ve tasted in 2020, the 2019 Skouras Zoe Rose is the one I can’t stop thinking about. Intensely aromatic, 100% dry, and a wine that literally smells and tastes like “sunshine in a glass,” you’re gonna’ love it!
I had no idea what to expect when I tasted this one last week. I’d honestly never had a Greek rose. But when I poured a glass and stuck my nose in the glass, it was “love at first sniff.” I’ll get into the sensory joys of this wine more below, but trust me, this stuff is wonderful.

The new batch of dry roses are finally landing! Sorry for they’re a little late this year, but the pandemic has delayed their arrivals. Trust me, it was worth the wait! This is one of the most exotic and aromatically pleasing dry roses I’ve ever tasted. A blend of 70% Aghiorgitiko and 30% Moscofilero, this one exudes gorgeous aromas and flavors of rose petal, ripe cherry and raspberry, and honeysuckle and herb.
Despite being a little bit deeper in color, this one is completely dry and wonderfully zippy and zesty. And don’t be dissuaded from trying this one because you don’t know the grapes or Greek wines. Domaine Skouras is one of the country’s most trusted producers, and we stock several of their other wines. Once people try them, they are immediately put at ease……because the wines are fantastic!
It’s hard to put into words how much I love this wine. And I can’t wait to enjoy a bottle with a caprese salad or some spicy Thai or Indian food. I guess I could keep it traditional and go with an orzo salad with feta, cucumber, olives, and tomato. I highly recommend you do the same.
