Who’s up for a 96 point-rated Barbaresco at less than $50? The 2017 Nada Giuseppe Barbaresco Casot is exactly that, and it’s one of the finest Barbaresco values I’ve ever offered.
This is the total package folks. Rising star winemaker, single vineyard, huge score, great price. I was very lucky to score 60 bottles of this one just before the end of the year. First come, first served here — act fast or forever hold your peace.

Enrico Nada is one of the rising stars of Italy’s Piedmont region. Based in the famed commune of Treiso, Nada crafts this wine from a steep, perfectly exposed vineyard called Casot. He farms organically, ferments with native yeasts, adds minimal sulfites, and bottles with minimal filtration. The resulting wines are pure, classic, and traditional expressions of Nebbiolo and the Piedmont terroir.
The estate really knocked it out of the park with their 2017 Barbaresco Casot. Wine Enthusiast described this one perfectly. “Perfumed, full bodied and elegant, this gorgeous wine has enticing scents of iris, fragrant woodland berry, aromatic herb and baking spice. Made with organic grapes, the delicious, structured palate delivers juicy black cherry, raspberry compote, licorice and crushed mint set against taut, refined tannins. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced. Drink 2021–2029.”
