Domaine de la Solitude Cotes Du Rhone Rouge

From one of the oldest and first families of Chateauneuf du Pape, all of Solitude's vineyards are within the CNDP AOC. Thus, this is basically Chateauneuf without the name, and it's a glorious bottle of wine.

A classic blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre, this boasts a rich and spicy nose of garrigue, spicy dark berry, raspberry liqueur, and anise followed by a sumptuous and sturdy palate of spicy dark berries, rosemary, lavender, and thyme. Round, supple, and fleshy on the palate, this is a pure joy to drink.
