Established in 1835, Bott-Freres is a 7th generation family-owned and operated winery. Average vine age at the domaine is 35 years. On 17ha of land, the winery grows all seven traditional varieties for the region.
The rarely seen Sylvaner (in these parts at least) is a cross of Traminer and a little-known variety called Osterreichisch Weiss. It yields a dry and highly drinkable white marked by pear, peach, and apple fruit, with just a whiff of smoky mineral. Delicious and ideal for richer fish dishes and poultry!
