Pennautier Chardonnay and Pinot Noir

I know everyone is looking for great values these days, and the Pennautier Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are delicious and downright cheap! From a family owned estate with vineyards near Limoux in Southern France, both of these wines punch way above their “weight classes.”

You are going to be blown away when you taste both of these! The Chardonnay drinks like a fine Macon Villages and the Pinot Noir drinks like a great Bourgogne Rouge. The only difference is these come to you at less than $15 and as low as $9.99 per bottle. Stock up and save big.

I want to emphasize that these are incredible wines for the price. They’re both great at $13.99/bottle, but when you mix up a case and get down to $9.99/bottle, this is a stupid good deal. And this checks all the boxes — family owned, estate grown fruit, sustainable and organic farming, and DELICIOUS! Perfect as “house wines” or casual “party wines,” these both drink wines that would normally run $15 to $20.

The key to quality here is the unique terroir, and trust me, I rarely talk terroir with under-$15 wines. But there’s “stuff” to talk about here. First and foremost, the vineyards are in a cooler, more elevated zone of the Languedoc. When you combine that with the stony, calcareous, limestone soils that cause the vines to struggle and the wines to express more depth of flavor, you’ve got yourself a winning formula.

Both wines are fermented and aged in stainless steel with minimal oak treatment. And they’re all the better for using little or no oak. The Chardonnay is bright and ripe, with notes of pear, pineapple, lemon zest, and flinty mineral on the finish. And the Pinot Noir is medium bodied, silky and smooth with lots of ripe cherry, raspberry, clove and cinnamon. I said it before and I’ll say it again, these are fantastic wines. And if you told me they were from Burgundy, I wouldn’t think otherwise.

So there you go — I found your new house wines. Enjoy both of these beauties with friends or casual meals while supplies last. Your friends will think you spent a lot more. I guarantee it!
