The Wines

1. 2014 Walnut Block Wines Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough, New Zealand) – For fans of New Zealand staples like Kim Crawford, give this a try! Simply put, this is textbook Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc — dry, super crisp, and brimming with tangy and tart citrus fruits and green herbs. If you are looking for a perfect wine to serve ice cold on a hot and sunny day, this is an ideal candidate.

2. 2015 Barnard Griffin Sangiovese Rose (Columbia Valley, Washington) – Year in and year out, this is one of the most beloved of dry roses that we stock at the store. Deeper colored, richer and creamier than most roses, this is literally like drinking a sun ripened strawberry. Additional notes of cherry, cranberry and white flowers show up in this fuller bodied, chuggable dry rose as well. Chill, open, chug and repeat!

3. 2014 Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles, California) – We predict that this will become one of the best selling Cabs in the store. Husband and wife Brian and Stephanie Terrizzi are crafting gorgeous wines from the various terroirs of California’s Central Coast with a focus on purity and varietal expression. This is a great entry point! 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 14 months in neutral French and American oak, this one really shows the pure and classic side of Cab — blackcurrant, dark cherry, cassis and just a whiff of oak. Big flavors, great price, no brainer!
