Le Beaujolais Nouveau Est Arrivé! This year’s batch of Beaujolais Nouveaux will arrive at the store and be available for sale on Thursday, November 15th!
Just in time for Thanksgiving, Beaujolais Nouveau is easy to drink, delicious, affordable and even better served next to turkey, ham, and all of the fixins’! Composed entirely of Gamay, these wines enjoy a speedy fermentation, are bottled, and then shipped to their destination to be sold the Thursday before Thanksgiving every year.
At Table Wine, our focus is always on wines from the best small growers and producers of the world, and we maintain that same philosophy with our Beaujolais Nouveaux selections. It’s a fact that the best Beaujolais wines come from small, conscientious, artisan producers like Pierre and Marie Chermette and Jean-Paul Brun. These farmers/producers take a more hands-on approach to the tending of their vineyards and the making of their wines, and you can taste in the finished product.
The Wines

1. 2018 Domaine du Vissoux Beaujolais “Pierre Chermette En Primeur”: Martine and Pierre-Marie Chermette farm their vineyards with their hands and with a ton of passion. Their entry-level Nouveau is joyful and charming, offering up a nice mix of bright red fruits and mellow earth notes. It is so easy to drink that you might want to consider snagging more than just a bottle.
2. 2018 Domaine du Vissoux Beaujolais Vieilles Vignes “Pierre Chermette En Primeur”: The Chermettes Old Vine bottling possesses darker fruit tones, but it still maintains that beautiful freshness that Nouveau is known for.
3. 2018 Jean-Paul Brun Beaujolais Nouveau: This is a new addition to the Table Wine Beaujolais Nouveau roster. Some of you might remember the brilliant Beaujolais Blanc from this producer, as we sold a ton of it this past summer. Well, Jean-Paul’s Nouveau is delicious as well, and we’re proud to have it this year.
